The Konsent is a short-lived musical and visual project founded by Ales, built around a single concept: the consent of the governed, and the quiet erosion of our instinct to resist.
Rather than focusing on oppression itself, the album explores the forces that make resistance slowly disappear — comfort, boredom, routine, distraction, and the gradual acceptance of what once would have seemed unacceptable.
Musically, The Konsent draws heavily from 1970s progressive rock, but removes the guitar entirely. Bass, drums and organ form the core of the record, creating a raw and deliberately limited instrumental palette. Conceived as a vinyl album rather than a collection of singles, it is meant to be heard from beginning to end as one continuous work.
The project was created by Ales, who wrote and developed its musical side, in close collaboration with Abstraum, responsible for The Konsent's visual universe. Abstraum designed the album artwork and illustrations and created an entirely hand-made animated video, due for release in October 2026.
The album will be released in November 2026 through Suicidal Owl / Urgence Disk, followed by a Japanese tour.
The Konsent was never intended to become a permanent band. It was conceived to make one record, explore one idea, and bring that idea to the stage. Once the album and its Japanese tour are complete, The Konsent will come to an end — its purpose fulfilled.
